Yes, we all know that the primary purpose of the kitchen sink is to wash dishes, in some households it also serves as a basin for washing babies or shampooing hair but I've stumbled upon an even more benefit of the kitchen sink. If your kitchen is as small as mine you also lack counter space. One of my greatest pleasures is hosting dinner parties year-round and like most homes, the kitchen is where everyone gathers to conversate and prepare drinks and grab hors d'oeuvres. The kitchen can get small quickly especially if a table was added to hold the beverages and hors d'oeuvres. This past year I upgraded my sink to a 30"workstation- sink. I've noticed their popularity on Amazon and decided that would be the type of sink I would purchase. It's nice to have an all-in-one sink that comes with a drying rack, a colander, and a cutting board and that alone is a space saver.

During my last event, my workstation- sink was not only a lifesaver but the talk of the party as well and I'll show you how.

I decided to use the sink as a beverage/charcuterie station. I purchased the 34oz glass bottles from Ikea and filled them with cocktails, juices, soda & water to save space and I added ice and water in the bottom of the basin to keep them cold. I used the colander as the ice bucket and the cutting board for a charcuterie board. The amount of freed-up space along with the ease of one location for everything was awesome.
